Prague

Prague is a place I’m always happy to visit. We usually go for two days, with my husband and sometimes with a friend too, and we try to skip the best-known sights and the crowds of tourists. We also wanted to prove that Prague doesn’t have to be expensive — on the first day we spent just 150 CZK on a day ticket and walked through the Royal Garden, the Vojan Gardens with their peacocks, Kampa and the Náplavka embankment. When it rains, we hide in museums, for example. The Czech National Bank Museum is free, and you can pedal an exercise bike there to keep inflation at two percent. At the Steel Art Museum you can sit in a Lamborghini made of scrap metal, and the Museum of Film Legends has more than a thousand statues of film heroes. The next day we went round the galleries — the Rudolfinum and Gallery 1 — and stopped by the Matějská fair.
