My name is Lenka and I come from South Moravia. I’m someone who believes that memories are worth more than possessions.

I love to laugh, listen to music, dance, read books and travel — even if it’s just to the next town. 😊 Growing vegetables and herbs on our balcony also brings me great joy.

I’m an honest realist with the soul of an optimist who believes there is still more good in the world than evil.

I love writing, sometimes poetry too, and I really love taking photos.

And it might surprise you, but one of my great companions is artificial intelligence — it fascinates me as an amazing helper that supports me not just in the digital world, but in the real one too. 🤖

Fashion school and dreams of retail

From a young age I loved reading books and always had a pen in hand. My journey with more serious writing began at a fashion and textile school, where I first wrote poems — just for the drawer. After graduating I fulfilled a childhood dream and completed a course to become a shop assistant. For some, an ordinary job — for me, a calling.

I wanted to chat with customers about their lives, to make their shopping experience feel good and to ensure whatever they bought brought them real joy. I wanted leaving the shop to feel like more than just “a purchase” — a pleasant experience that would bring them back again.

People’s stories have always fascinated me. The kind that life itself writes.

When the path takes a twist 🌿

I came to travelling much later than most people. For a long time I simply couldn’t afford it — neither financially nor time-wise. My mum and I moved several times, and I spent most of my time at work, just as she did whenever she could, so we could keep up with everything.

Around my thirtieth year came a big change. We moved again and mum and I started travelling more — at least weekend trips around the area, depending on how she was feeling health-wise. And soon after I met my now-husband, we went on lots of trips together too. It was those small outings that led me to what I love doing and writing about today: a love of travel. ❤️

Life hasn’t been easy on me — as I’m sure it hasn’t been for many others. I went through difficult times, financial uncertainty and a long, demanding struggle alongside my mother’s illness. Those periods, painful as they were, taught me one essential thing: to cherish every single day.

When I was approaching forty and felt that the world of retail had lost its human face, I made a radical decision. I left a well-paid job as a deputy store manager and returned to what I had always loved — writing.

How I live today 🌻

Today I live life fully with my wonderful husband, who supports me in everything just as I support him. And it was because of him that I moved to the Vysočina region. We’ve always loved going on trips whenever we could, and now we’re gradually discovering the world together. 😊

Why Lenna Stories was born 📖

This blog is a place for my joys, photos, poems and reflections. It’s my digital diary where I store memories from travels and from life itself.

I want to show you how beautiful the world around us is — and especially places you might not even know about. Through my photos and short articles I try to bring a little inspiration, perhaps for a trip of your own. 🙂 Because memories of time spent together will stay in our hearts forever.
